I learned that many Mexican American Women have struggled to have a voice and to have courage. Sandra Cisneros was a shy girl when she was little but as she got older she became the voice of many Mexican American Women. Many people are inspired by her work because now they have the courage, hope, and voice that Sandra has inspired them with. You probably can say she is a hero not only to Mexican Americans but to other people with differant cultures, backgrounds, and religions.
