Welcome! Thank you for your interest in reserving one or both of the Instructional Technology Services’ Computer Labs. Information about the labs appears below, as well as a link to a calendar and information on how to reserve the labs. If you were hoping to reserve the Burnet Cafeteria or Conference Room, you’ll need to speak to the Senior Executive Director’s Secretary at the Burnet Center (Diana Acosta, dacosta@saisd.net”, Phone: 212–7490).
How to Reserve the Labs
Please note that we are in the process of switching from one calendar to another; the change will not be implemented until January, 2010.
- Find an open time slot using the calendars below. In the meantime, you may have to refer to two calendars:
- Complete the ONLINE request form (paper forms will no longer be accepted). You will have to login as GUEST or with your SAISD email account name and password to get access. This form ensures that you are aware of the security/care requirements for the room and equipment.
Questions? Please contact the Office of Instructional Technology Services at 527–1400 or via email at mguhlin@saisd.net.
1. General Guidelines
- Computer labs are reserved primarily for technology-enhanced workshops and must be reserved in advance of the meeting.
- Please understand that preference is given to Instructional Technology workshops and the use of the labs for technology-enhanced workshops OVER use of the space for meetings. Instructional Technology Services reserves the right to move/reschedule meetings—with advance warning—to meet workshop demands.
- By design, configuration of the labs include desktop systems instead of laptop systems. This has been found to be the optimal configuration for Instructional Technology’s computer labs.
- Those requesting use of the labs will need to participate in a one-time, short 15 minute orientation—scheduled one on one—on the use and care of the IT Labs and Equipment.
