The ePath Learning Management System enables you to register for professional learning sessions being offered in instructor-led, as well as online workshops offered by the San Antonio ISD. You can also track and print certificates for professional learning that you have participated in.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OFFERINGS

Earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit for each of the following series of sessions.
     
  PBS TeacherLine Facilitated Courses - PBS TeacherLine's high quality, standards-based graduate-level courses offer teachers the professional development opportunities they need in an accessible online format that makes learning fun, flexible and collaborative. You can earn CPEs while gaining strategies and resources to bring directly to your classroom.
     
    How-To Online Tutorials - There are many online courses available to you, some that enable you to earn Gifted and Talented Hours. Approximately 5 new courses will be offered each month.
     
    CD-Based Tutorials - provides basic a self-paced learning system for San Antonio School District employees who want to improve their skills in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet) and Microsoft Word (word processing). These tutorials are also available to students for checkout through their Campus Technology Representative or teacher, or for their parents through the District's Adult and Community Education Program (210-299-1102).

 

SELF-PACED PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

     
 

Feel free to join these self-paced professional learning courses, open to anyone with an SAISD account. No CPE credit awarded. You will need to login with your SAISD email and email password. You will need to enroll in these courses with an enrollment key of "learning" without quotes. This short tutorial can help you get started.

Some available courses include the following:

  • K12 Online Conference - Educators from around the globe have developed online professional learning videos and audio presentations with a wealth of resources! Work your way through some of this content and earn CPE hours as you explore cutting edge technologies aligned to new National Education Technology Standards for Students (NETS-S).
  • Power Publishing with GIMP, Inkscape and Scribe - Learn how to use these three free program to enhance your print publishing skills: 1) GIMP is a photo and image editing package; 2) Inkscape is a vector based drawing and illustrating program. It produces SVG (scalable vector graphics) files. It can be used for logos, fliers, and technical illustrations; and 3) Scribus is a desktop publishing program. It supports publishing features, such as CMYK color, separations, ICC color management and versatile PDF creation. CPE Credit is not available for this course.
  • Digital Photography - Your computer is your darkroom. Your software is free. The world is your gallery. CPE Credit is not available for this course.
