Email update for Elementary/Academy Campus

Thanks to all of you that have been updating the Campus Access Survey. Some of your colleagues have written and asked, "If I find out the data in the survey was incorrect, am I able to update it now?" The answer is a definite YES. Please, do so. I also invite you to update the Campus Contact Information to ensure that we have the latest contact information for you and your fellow CTR.

In particular, we are requesting you update Section 5 of the Campus Access Survey by no later than Tuesday, November 2.

Here's why:

HANDHELD ASSESSMENT SYNCSTATION UPDATE
Over the last two days, members from the Technology Department, the Reading Department and Wireless Generation (creators of the Palm Handheld Assessments currently in use in SAISD) have been looking into problems experienced related to the TPRI administration. A small number of the problems were the result one of two technical issues identified after weeks of research. Certainly, there were also issues that could have been resolved through additional refresher training and those will be addressed in due time.

To ensure that the Technology Department can address the issue PRIOR to January administration of handheld assessments (e.g. TPRI), we are requesting that you update Section 5 of the Campus Access Survey. A blank copy of section 5 is attached in Acrobat PDF.

SUCCESSMAKER LAB ISSUES? LET US KNOW.
If you are experiencing SuccessMaker Lab problems, we'd like your assistance in finding out more about your school's experience. These questions are outlined in Section 5 of the Campus Access Survey.

CAMPUS ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM (CEP)

CAMPUS STAR CHART
Please don't forget that the Campus STaR Chart needs to be submitted by November 30th. Should you need someone to work with your Campus Leadership Team, or the technology subcommittee, please do not hesitate to send email to Miguel Guhlin (mguhlin@saisd.net) or call 527-1400.

TCEA REGISTRATIONS
Please be aware that we will be registering all CTRs for the TCEA 2005 Conference this week. You may receive an email from TCEA when they process the registration. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Instructional Technology. In particular, Josie Salas at jsalas2@saisd.net or 527-1400.
